About Katie Sadler

Katie is an award-winner book marketer with over 14 years experience within the publishing industry. She started her career at Penguin Random House, working on brands like the Great British Bake Off, Doctor Who and Danny Wallace, then moved on to HarperCollins, where she worked with bestselling authors like SJ Parris, Cecelia Ahern, George RR Martin and Jay Kristoff.

Katie has most recently been working at Hachette, with authors like Elly Griffiths, William Shaw and Jennifer Saint.

She now does regular short-term in house contracts, and works with authors directly to help them build their author platform without spending every minute online.

ABOUT SAM MISSINGHAM

Sam Missingham is an award-winning book marketer and publishing consultant. She runs The Empowered Author, a book marketing membership service for authors.

She worked at HarperCollins UK for 4 years as head of audience development where she ran large-scale marketing campaigns that connected books and authors with readers. Previous to HarperCollins she worked at the industry trade magazine, The Bookseller, running conferences, awards, marketing where she was also co-founder of FutureBook, its digital publishing community.

She is also a journalist, international speaker, publishing influencer and is very well connected in the industry.
