Publicity Q&A with Georgina Moore

Georgina Moore is the queen of book publicity. She has worked on some of the biggest books and publicity campaigns. She runs the books and publicity department ad Midas PR and before that worked at Headline Publishing with many bestselling authors.

Georgina Moore spent 15 years as Communications Director at Headline, where she ran the Press Office. Before that she was in publicity at Hodder & Stoughton and has 20 years’ experience in the publishing industry. Georgina has helped create many bestsellers across fiction and non-fiction titles. During her time at Headline Georgina worked on PPC award winning campaigns for Gazza, Hillary Clinton, Kate Adie, Lauren Bacall, and Maggie O’Farrell. Her campaign for The Lemon Grove was commended as the best fiction campaign of the year at the Nibbies. She has been PPC shortlisted many times including for Small Island by Andrea Levy, The Wrong Knickers by Bryony Gordon, Year of Wonder by Clemency Burton-Hill. She has worked closely with many big name authors over many years including Penny Vincenzi, Adele Parks, Daisy Goodwin, Bryony Gordon, Maggie O’Farrell, and Patrick Gale.

Georgina lectures in Book Publicity at Kingston and UCL, mentors for the PPC and the SYP and has been a keynote speaker at FutureBook.

Since being at Midas PR Georgina has brought on board many authors and campaigns including Deborah Moggach, Tim Lott, Maggie O’Farrell, Scarlett Curtis, Jess Philipps, Quick Reads, The Silent Treatment, The Snakes by Sadie Jones, Open by Frankie Bridge and The Windham-Campbell Prizes.
