Author Q&A with Tracy Buchanan

We’ll talk to Tracy Buchanan about her publishing journey and what she’s learned along the way.

Specifically, we’ll talk about where she thinks traditionally published authors should spend their marketing budgets and energies and how this works with publisher activity.

Tracy Buchanan is the bestselling author of Kindle and Kobo chart toppers including My Sister’s Secret and No Turning Back, as well as bestsellers around the world. She also runs the Savvy Authors’ Snug, a 500+ strong Facebook group which aims to help ‘traditionally published’ authors ride the publishing roller coaster with finesse. After publishing six novels with HarperCollins, she has now moved onto the Lake Union imprint of Amazon for her next two novels.

Before becoming a full-time author, Tracy worked in journalism, PR and social media, first as an online account manager for top communications agency Freud Communications where she helped companies like Working Title Films and Mars get to grips with the digital landscape before taking over the reins of The Open University’s social media accounts where she won the E-Learning Award from Best Use of Social Media.

She now spends her time writing, cheerleading for authors and procrastinating on social media with her assistant, a very spoilt dog called Bronte.
