The best podcasts about writing

These are my favourite podcasts about being a writer - whatever stage you are at in your career, these podcasts will give you inspiration, ideas and support.

Perhaps you’d like to appear on a podcast? Here are my tips for pitching yourself:

  • Follow the podcasts on social media

  • Engage with them

  • Subscribe to the podcast and listen to it regularly

  • Get familiar with what the podcasts includes editorially

  • Contact them, introduce yourself and tell them what you specifically could offer them that would make an interesting episode (you could consider sending a press release too)

  • Use the presenter’s and podcast’s name in your email

  • DO NOT send them a templated email with no reference to their podcast
